Hi Everyone:

Welcome to the Summer 2004 section of LBT236.

We will meet for 4 of the 5 weeks of Summer Session I.

There will be no class on Wed June 16th.

This schedule corrects the incorrect entry in the printed summer schedule!

Our class will look at many electronic communication tools and explore using some emerging communication systems, such as 'blog'.

While just 5 years ago email and chat were not routine tools for delivering library services, today they are routinely used in all types of libraries by all levels of staff.

In our class we will work with more than email, prepare to use bulletin boards, chat and blogs!

Since this is a short term course, active participation in sharing your experience with electronic communication tools is essential. We will have several hands on exercises, a virtual session (June 23) and a final inquiry project.
